Is Coaching Right For You?

The Difference Between Coaching and Therapy

  • In therapy, you work with emotional challenges, mental illness, trauma, relationship issues, grief and loss. You often draw on past history in order to help heal and improve quality of life.
  • In coaching, you partner up and actively work on creating solutions and strategies for current issues. The role of coaching is to provide support so you can further develop your inherent skills and confidence. 
  • Coaching could be a good option for those who struggle with less severe disordered eating and could use some behavioral intervention to help equip them with skills to address their concerns.

Coaching with Kristen

  • 30 minute coaching sessions to help identify and address disordered emotional eating.
  • Can be offered telehealth for out of state clients.
  • Skill focus will be heavily informed by cognitive-based strategies, with select coping strategies.
  • These are offered as an initial consultation session, a package of 3 sessions, a package of 5 sessions, and a package of 10 sessions.
